The topological numerical polynomial ring

Abstract
Let P be the ring of polynomials over the rationals that take integer values when evaluated on integers. This ring has long been known to appear in algebraic topology as the K-homology of infinite complex projective space. We have found P appearing in a more basic way as the homology of a nice commutative ring spectrum we are terming the topological numerical polynomial ring.
