Abstract
PBW degenerate flag varieties of type A can be described explicitly in terms of sequences of vector spaces subject to certain restrictions. In the talk we discuss the affine analogue of the PBW degeneration. In particular,we give explicit description of the affine flag varieties of the affine gl(n) type. Our main tool is the formalism of the semi-infinite forms and Sato Grassmann varieties. We also describe the connection to the representation theory of the loop quivers.
