Abstract

I will explain a recent conjecture of Bonnafe-Rouquier on a new approach to constructing left cells for finite Coxeter groups. It is based on the Galois theory of algebraic varieties called Calogero-Moser spaces. I will discuss the type A case, drawing parallels with recent results on the Galois theory problem for Schubert calculus and its combinatorics.
