Abstract

Many biological characteristics of evolutionary interest, such as growth curves, reaction-norms and distributions, are function-valued. I will first present a model for the evolution of function-valued traits over a phylogeny, and then a model-based approach to inferring ancestral function-valued traits and to estimating the evolutionary process using source separation.
