Abstract

Engineering analysis of mechanical systems have been addressed by deriving a partial differential equation systems relating the variables through basic physical principles such as equilibrium, conservation of energy and mass. The finite element method is the dominant discretization technique in solving such mechanical problems, while the basic concept is the subdivision of the mathematical model into simple elements. I will be mainly focusing on a discretization or node distribution scheme—Bubble Placement method, and talking about the several strategies to significantly improve the efficiency of the algorithm.
