Noncommutative Cohen-Macaulay

Abstract

The Cohen-Macaulay property for commutative rings is well known, but there are various generalisations to non-commutative rings. I will look at some of these generalisations to rings which are finite modules over their centres and show why I think "symmetrically-Macaulay" is the best generalisation.
