VIRTUAL SEMINAR SERIES -- INTEGRABLE SYSTEMS: Frobenius manifolds mirror symmetry and Gromov-Witten invariants via Chekhov-Eynard-Orantin topological recursion

Karoline van Gemst (University of Sheffield)

Wednesday 14th July, 2021 13:30-14:30 Zoom seminar hosted by ICMS

Abstract

I will talk about mirror symmetry for Frobenius manifolds and (some of) its applications. After introducing the necessary concepts, I will present the results of a recent preprint (Arxiv: 2103.12673), obtained together with Andrea Brini (Sheffield). Here we find Landau-Ginzburg superpotentials (B-model mirror partners) to Frobenius manifolds constructed by Boris Dubrovin and Youjin Zhang on the orbit space of certain extensions of affine Weyl groups. While there are several interesting applications of our mirror theorem, I will focus particularly on one. By connecting Frobenius manifolds to the Chekhov-Eynard-Orantin topological recursion procedure, I will explain how our work may provide higher genus Gromov-Witten invariants of certain orbicurves.
