Abstract

This talk aims to answer an age old question:  Why can I never seem to win at noughts and crosses?  Of course I never lose either, I just seem to keep drawing. We will reach into Ramsey theory, a branch of combinatorics which seeks "order, given enough chaos", in order to find a way to resolve my "noughts and crosses" problem and propose an improvement to this much revered pastime.
