The School of Law is committed to providing flexible education that is comprehensive and tailored to the changing needs of the legal profession. The aim of our CPE programmes is to support members of the profession throughout their legal careers by providing innovative courses, developed by practitioners for practitioners and delivered by trained subject experts. Our programmes are designed to suit both your individual preferences, work-load demands and the changing needs of clients and the marketplace. They can be taken individually or as part of a flexible package (listed in our Course Catalogue).
Our provision includes:

- CPE (CPD) for Solicitors
- CPE (CPD) for Advocates
- Specialist conferences
We also provide courses to meet the formal CPD needs of paralegals and legal training for other professionals involved in legal responsibilities and compliance, quasi-judicial functions and advice related to the law. These include Data Protection and Environmental legislation requirements.
A unique feature of our programmes is that it allows participants the option to build incremental accreditation to work towards a Masters qualification in Contemporary Law and Practice that can be tailored to their own area of practice and specialism.
In addition, every year we run a number of specialist conferences on areas of contemporary and current interest to the professions. Some concentrate on complex aspects of legislation and case law and others on business and management 'Masterclasses'. All are delivered by internationally recognised experts and as a result offer the opportunity to achieve accelerated and focused learning. We feel it is important to allow a number of professions to get together on a regular basis to share experiences and as a result learn from other disciplines. As a result we work with other colleges and professional bodies so as to provide a wide pool of expertise.
