Effective learning

The Effective Learning Tutor is based within Student Services in the Library and can help you to develop the skills required to succeed in higher education. This includes advice on essay writing, presentations, note taking, revision techniques and exams. Ring 01387 734279 to make an appointment for advice tailored to your needs. This is a great way to ensure that you are fulfilling your potential at university.

A range of effective learning resources is also available through the School of Interdisciplinary Studies’ Effective Learning Moodle site (see link on right hand side).

Useful leaflets on a wide range of topics, from Essay Writing to Time Management, are available in the Student Services Reception and the foyer in the Rutherford McCowan Building.
