Student life

The School of Interdisciplinary Studies has a vibrant student community in Dumfries and welcomes students of all ages and backgrounds.

We play host to a very diverse student population made up of local, national and international students, part-time and full-time students, school leavers and students who have returned to study after time out of education.

Our setting in the University Town of Dumfries means that, as a student here, you are not only part of our academic community but also part of the local and regional community. Many of our staff and students are involved with local clubs, sports, groups and projects, making lifelong friends and developing a fantastic range of skills and contacts.
