Biography

Mary studied English Literature, Anthropology and History of Philosophy for a BA General (London) and some years later completed a BA Spanish (Hons) at Birkbeck College, London.

After training in TEFL with the British Council in Madrid and at UWIST, Cardiff, Mary taught English language and literature at universities in Colombia.  Since then she has worked in further and higher education in the UK: responsibilities have included Course Tutor to ESOL and Return to Study courses at Southwark College, and as Language Support Tutor in the Faculty of Science, Computing and Engineering at the University of North London (now London Metropolitan).

At the Crichton Campus Mary delivers short courses in English language and on-going support to international students and bilingual home students, and runs courses in preparation for Cambridge ESOL examinations and the IELTS test.
