Put yourself in the shoes of a potential applicant at an Open Day – you will remember that talking to students at your chosen universities is an incredibly valuable experience. Enthusiastic and knowledgeable Student Ambassadors are key to the development of our campus.
This is an important and rewarding role; you are the ‘face’ of Scotland’s second-oldest university, representing our degree programmes to local, national and international visitors. The Student Ambassador role involves promoting the university at campus-based events, which can include Open Days, Interview days, Applicants’ visit days and various activities during Induction Week.
As well as helping to promote the university you will be developing an excellent set of skills much sought after by graduate employers.
Delivering high quality campus tours is a major part of the role, as well as welcoming visitors, setting up and clearing of venues, and generally offering advice and assistance. You may also be asked to undertake administrative tasks, e.g. assisting with large mailouts.
If you are interested in applying as a Student Ambassador at any time, please complete the application form on the right and hand it in to the General Office.
