At the Dumfries Campus we provide a friendly and supportive environment for our students, but don’t just take our word for it. Come and experience the School of Interdisciplinary Studies for yourself. We look forward to welcoming you to the campus.
Register for our next Open Day
Our next Open Day will be held on:
- Wednesday 26th June 2013 (1pm - 5pm)
Please email admissions@crichton.gla.ac.uk to register. Include your full name, address, telephone number, which date you would like to register for, and which programme(s) interest you.
If you have any additional access needs that might affect your visit, please let us know in advance and we will do everything we can to assist you.
Open Days provide you with the opportunity to:
- Speak to academic staff
- Take a student-led tour of our campus
- Chat with current students about their experiences
- View the hall of residence
- Learn about our Student Services
- Find out about the Students' Association
You are welcome to bring your friends and family too. Open Days are suitable for everyone interested in studying with us, no matter your age or background.

Applicant Visit Day
This event offers undergraduate applicants the opportunity to experience our friendly campus community before making a final decision. If you have been made an offer you should receive an invitation in your welcome pack. Please note that applicants for the MA Primary Education, if selected, will be invited to an interview day instead.
Applicant visit day is more than just an Open Day, and includes in-depth tours, a visit to the residence, an opportunity to get to know your lecturers and fellow students, and some sample classes and activities.
Our next Applicant Visit Day will be held on 27th March 2013. You will receive an invitation if you are eligible to attend.
Primary Education Interview Days
Primary Education applicants are shortlisted and those selected will be invited to an interview day. This includes a student-led campus tour, an introductory presentation about your degree programme, a chance to meet lecturers and students, and of course your interview and written task. More information on these events will be sent to shortlisted candidates.
