Research interests

I joined the ERC-funded 'Fragments of the Republican Roman Orators' project at the University of Glasgow in 2015, and am currently the project's Research Associate and a part-time lecturer in the Classics Subject Area.

I specialise in the history of the Roman Republic and Empire, particularly the antiquarian scholarship of Republican Rome, its philosophical and ideological underpinnings, and its fate at the hands of subsequent ancient readers and early editors. I have allied interests in ancient historiography, grammatical and rhetorical education, textual criticism, and early Insular Latinity.
