Study
Together with the Department of Philosophy at the University of Glasgow, the Centre offers several postgraduate degrees. Students have access to a substantial number of philosophers interested in the philosophy of mind and perception and to the many workshops, seminars and conferences run by the Centre. Opportunities exist for students to organise and participate in events, such as the graduate conferences and reading parties, which are held almost every year.
Research Postgraduate Degrees
- MPhil (one year full-time/two years part-time)
- MLitt (research) (two years full-time/three years part-time)
- PhD (three years full-time/five years part-time)
All three research degrees are awarded on the basis of a written dissertation in which original research is devoted to tackling a specific philosophical topic in depth. In the case of the MLitt(research) and PhD, the dissertation is defended by oral examination.
