The Baillie Collection

Students in the Centre for Scottish & Celtic Studies enjoy ready access to the Department of History’s prized collection of printed medieval and modern sources in Scottish and Irish history. These include the publications of nineteenth century antiquarian clubs, such as the Bannatyne Club, as well as the output of more contemporary groups such as the Scottish History Society. The collection also offers printed state papers, Historical Manuscript Commission publications and a select collection of modern monographs.
The Baillie Room provides workspace for postgraduates, with networked computers, a laser printer and a scanner.
