26th Apr 2013 - Prof. Bishop has been appointed Chair of prestigious European Geophysical Union award committee

Prof. Paul Bishop has been appointed as Chair of the Medals and Awards Committee of the Geomorphology (GM) Division of the European Geosciences Union (EGU). The EGU GM Division  annually awards the Bagnold Medal (to an outstanding mid-career scientist) and the Outstanding Young Scientist award (to someone within seven years of graduating with their PhD). Prof. Bishop is looking forward to chairing this committee and to playing a role in recognising the best early and mid-career scientists internationally.
