Research interests

Biography

Murray Ireland is a Research Associate in the Space Robotics Group (SPROG), part of the Aerospace Sciences Research Division. He obtained his MEng degree in Aeronautical Engineering from UoG in 2010 and his PhD in 2014. His PhD thesis was entitled "Investigations in Multi-Resolution Modelling of the Quadrotor Micro Air Vehicle". He has worked as Research Assistants in the Schools of Engineering and Computing Science and as a Teaching Assistant in Engineering.

Interests

Murray's research interests include: unmanned systems; dynamics, control and navigation; observer design; inverse simulation; robotics and space systems. His current research is focussed on the use of Inverse Simulation in fault detection, isolation and recovery methods for robotic rovers.
