PhD study at the School of Engineering
We are always interested in receiving applications for PhD study from high quality applicants who wish to contribute to our vibrant research environment and interact with one or more of our research groups.
Application Procedure
If you are looking to apply for a postgraduate research degree in Engineering at the University of Glasgow, there are a number of clear steps to take:
- Find out about our research divisions and potential projects/research areas.
- Make contact with potential supervisors to discuss your application and how you would fit into their research division.
- Consider sources of financial support. This application is for admission to study only, and should you be accepted, the funding has to be arranged separately. Further information on scholarships and timing is provided below. If you are applying for currently available PhD positions below then the funding is already in place.
- Once you are clear about a potential project, a supervisor and where you wish to apply for financial support then please go to the College of Science and Engineering graduate school webpages where application instructions and a link to the online application system are provided.
