The Joint GRPe Grad School is preparing a one day workshop for its PhD students. This workshop is free for all students to attend.

7:15        Bus departing from University of Strathclyde/ McCance Building, Richmond Street

8:00        Bus departing from The University of Glasgow near “Main Gate” on University Avenue

9:15        Setting up the Poster Boards with posters – each student

9:30  Poster discussions with coffee

10:00      Welcome remarks, Prof Ivan Glesk, Director of the Joint GRPe Grad School

10:05      Opening remarks and GRPe overview, Prof Steve Beaumont, GRPe Director

13:00      “How to prepare for your job interview” - Part II

Session 3a:  All about Interviews (SS); follow-up technical interviews/strengths-based interviews/assess centres (AR) 

Session 3b:  Interview practise (groups of 3 students interviewing each other: interviewee, interviewer, and observer.  (No preparation required in advance)  (AR)

14:40  Coffee Break with poster discussions

15:20      Session 4:    Overview of psychometric assessment (AR); Numeracy test experience (AR)
