Biography

Background

I am a Senior Lecturer at the School of Education, with a focus on the field of International and Comparative Education. I am also a founding member of the Robert Owen Centre for Educational Change, where I co-lead the research strand on Education and International Development.

Research

My research focuses on education policy from an international and comparative perspective. I am particularly interested in:

  • The role of international organisations in the global governance of education;
  • Policy borrowing and policy transfer in TVET;
  • The political economy of skill formation and skill utilisation;
  • The effects of education policies on social justice.
