Postdoctoral Scholars and Visiting Academics

The School of Education welcomes applications from postdoctoral scholars and academics who wish to spend a shorter or longer period of time (up to a maximum of 12 months) based in the School for research purposes while registered or employed at another university.

Before applying, potential applicants will need to ensure they have the full support of an academic member of staff in the School of Education, whose work is in a related area and who will benefit from the collaboration and who is willing to act as their mentor for the duration of their visit.

We encourage visitors to participate in the Research and Knowledge Transfer Group they will be assigned to and to present a research seminar on the work they have carried out during their attachment.

In addition to receiving support from their mentor, visitors will be able to attend seminars offered in the School and in other areas of the College of Social Sciences and will have access to the University Library. Each visitor will be provided with workspace, a computer and a university email account to be used during their attachment.

Bench fees are normally applied.

To apply please click on this Application Form for PD&AV  which should be fully completed and emailed to education-academic-visitors@glasgow.ac.uk.

Applications can be submitted at any time and applicants will normally be notified of the outcome within 8 weeks of their application.
