Glasgow signs MOU with the University of South Africa
The principal of Glasgow University, High Commissioner for South Africa and the Honorary Consul in Scotland signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of South Africa in Pretoria to extend the PASCAL arrangements to a 4th centre.
BED4 Students selected to represent the University at the U21 Summer School in China
Two BED (Primary Education) students have been selected to represent the University at the annual Universitas 21 Summer School in China. Mark Callender and Kevin Brown (both Education for Citizenship specialists) will attend the 2010 conference from the 5th-15th of July.
Faculty of Education Collaboration Visit to Oman
Staff from the Faculty of Education recently visited Oman as part of a collaboration visit that will see two new post graduate programmes offered in Oman in October. During the visit a Memorandum of Understanding was signed with Majan University College where the programmes will be offered.
Challenging Highly Able Pupils
120 highly able pupils from across Scotland are attending a three day event hosted by the Scottish Network for Able Pupils. They will participate in a range of challenging activities including, mathematics, astronomy, creative writing and moving image education with Scottish Screen.
