Biography

Khaled Ahmed graduated from Alexandria University in 2004 with a BDS. He was awarded a Fellowship in Prosthodontics and Implantology from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2007.

In 2009 he received an MSc in Restorative Dentistry from Newcastle University. Thereafter, he was appointed as Clinical Academic Fellow at Glasgow Dental Hospital and School.

Research interests

  • Dental Biomaterials especially in-relation to impression materials and ISO standards.
  • Tooth wear and various predisposing factors of the condition. This encompasses diagnosis, qualitative analysis and management of tooth wear.
  • Clinical applications of 3D scanning in dentistry in-collaboration with Strathclyde University and commercial partners.
