Biography

Ahmed El-Angbawi graduated from Alexandria University (Egypt) BDS in 1999. He spent a few years working as a dentist in private practice and hospital posts. He was appointed as a resident in the Orthodontic Department in Alexandria University in 2004, where he graduated with a Master degree in Orthodontics in 2007. After working for a year as an assistant lecturer in Pharos University (Egypt), he decided to move to Dundee in 2008 to start his PhD project at the University of Dundee. In 2009 he was appointed as a clinical lecturer/ honorary SPR in the Orthodontic Department University of Glasgow.


Research interests

Effectiveness of orthodontic treatment. His work involves randomized clinical trails comparing the clinical effectiveness of different types of bracket systems.

Orthodontically induced root resorption (OIRR). His work involves studying OIRR radiographically and microscopically.
