Biological and medical sciences
This section encompasses the biomedical sciences involved in both teaching and research activities of the School. These include oral biology, medicine, surgery, microbiology, immunology and pathology.
Microbiology and immunology have been longstanding research interests in the Dental School. The Infection and Immunity Research Group is embedded in this section, with strong academic links to the Institute for Infection, Immunity & Inflammation. Staff in this section carry major teaching responsibilities for Oral Biology and Clinical Medical Sciences.
