Facilities
Glasgow Dental Hospital & School is one of the best teaching facilities in the UK. Millions of pounds have been spent on improving the facilities, and more developments are planned in the coming years.
Refurbished over the Summer of 2012, The Dorothy Geddes Multimedia Laboratory is a cutting edge teaching laboratory, equipped with tablet PCs. The 3D projection facilities are the first of their type within the University.
Our two lecture theatres, fully refurbished in October 2007, offer excellent facilities for staff and students.
In Year two of undergraduate study, students carry out procedures in the Pre-clinical skills laboratory.
As students progress through the undergraduate programme, they are asked to work in clinical environments, for instance the Restorative main clinic, Periodontal clinic, and Paediatric clinic.
During the autumn term of 2006, the seminar rooms were upgraded to provide facilities for teaching in the 21st century.
In addition the James Ireland Memorial Library holds the University Library’s collection of dental books and journals.
