Degree Programmes

The Centre runs these postgraduate degrees:

MPhil by research

Dissertation only: 30,000 to 40,000 words.
This degree can be taken in one year full time, or a maximum of three years part time.

PhD

Dissertation only: 80,000 to 100,000 words.
Students are supervised or co-supervised (many of our students benefit from co-supervision between subject areas).

Applications

Potential PhD or MPhil by research applicants are advised to look through staff websites, identify the member of staff that they think might be most appropriate for their topic and contact him or her informally. They should do this as well as submitting a formal application.
