Practical Theology

Within Practical Theology students may study for a BD and candidates for the Church of Scotland study for a BD(min). The pathway from first year undergraduate to honours level is clear. New courses are being prepared for the start of the academic year 2011-12. A recent development is the creation of a Doctorate in Practical Theology which has been attracting a large number of students. There are also plans to establish an equivalent of a certificate in PT. Students integrate well within the other cluster groups, indeed, the presence of PT students within the TRS seminars promotes discussion and dialogue between those of various religious beliefs.
