Lab Lunch

Tuesdays at 1pm - GULP, 13 University Gardens (first floor)

Lab Lunch is the weekly informal meeting where members of the lab discuss current research projects or other things related to phonetics and more generally to linguistics. It involves presentation of work in progress, training and updates on the speech analysis software and from time to time we also have talks by visitors. However, we also devote some time to varied topics or to discuss past and forthcoming conferences or events. It mainly involves the department postgraduate students but we are happy to welcome everyone with an interest in speech and phonetics. 

Other

The GULP team are a friendly, welcoming group of individuals that meet for occasional pub nights, meals out, and trips to conferences. 

In the past, GULP members have also organized visits to scenic areas around Scotland, such as St. Andrews and Arran.
