Glasgow Hackathon Success

A team of 2nd and 3rd year students from Glasgow Computing Science spent two days participating in a hackathon about future cities. Various scottish agencies provided data which the team used to develop a prototype of a public service communication platform to support short, concise, geographic and demographically targeted public service announcements through mobile phone communications. The team won first prize at the Public Safety themed #hackglasgow event held on 22nd and 23rd February 2014.
