The School of Computing Science at the University of Glasgow has achieved excellent results in the National Student Survey 2011. Among the 97 UK institutions listed, the School came 1st in the Computer Science subject area for overall student satisfaction, when considering data submitted by students in 2011.
The percentage of students who were satisfied overall with their degree programme was 98% (taken over 47 final-year respondents). When including both institutions with scores based on 2011 data only and those that did not meet the threshold number of students to record a unique score this year (and so have a score averaged over this year and last), the School was ranked 2nd in the UK out of 106 institutions listed.
The School of Computing Science has a proud history of success in the National Student Survey, having been ranked 1st in the UK for student satisfaction in the Computer Science subject area in each of years 2007, 2008 and 2010. This is a reflection of the School's strong commitment to excellence in learning and teaching.
