Sensing Infrastructure for a mini-Smart City within SoCS

In this talk, we will describe our motivations and plans to deploy a sensing infrastructure within SAWB. In particular, we will describe how a mini-Smart city environment fits within wider initiatives, such as the University's sensor systems research area, and the SMART FP7 project. Indeed, such Smart city environments will facilitate information access and search for real-world events. We will then discuss plans for deploying visual sensors within SAWB, describing the proposed locations, the analysis that will be performed and the protection policies implemented.
