The 60th anniversary of Computing in Glasgow

60 Years of Computing at GlasgowIn 1957, the University of Glasgow became the first University in Scotland to have an electronic computer. To mark the 60th anniversary of this event, the School of Computing Science is planning a series of events throughout 2017 that will bring together leading researchers, figures from the School’s past, alumni, students, educators, and industry.

These events encompass the full range of the School’s activities, including education, student entrepreneurship and engagement, scholarship and research.
