Dynamics & Structure

The Dynamics and Structure grouping combines the School’s research in physical aspects of chemistry. Our research includes ultrafast chemical physics, photonic and metamaterials for biosensing, photochemistry and chemical dynamics, solid state NMR, the visualisation and manipulation of chemical structures, and biomolecular structure and dynamics. The D&S grouping has links and overlap with the other groupings in the School in catalysis, complex chemical systems, nanoscale molecular and materials chemistry, and synthetic methodology and chemical biology. Furthermore, we work closely together with WestCHEM colleagues in the physical chemistry section at the University of Strathclyde. For more information on the D&S research grouping contact Prof. Klaas Wynne.
