Grant HillDr Grant Hill has been awarded a 5-year Royal Society of Edinburgh/Scottish Government Research Fellowship entitled “An accurate theoretical protocol for homogeneous transition metal catalysis” to commence on 1 October 2012. The project will focus on developing a new computational protocol to accurately model the mechanisms of homogeneous transition metal catalysis. The aim is to translate recent advances in fundamental theoretical chemistry into a powerful, standardised computational technique able to effectively model catalyst behaviour. The predictive power of this protocol holds the promise of considerably accelerating catalyst design, ultimately delivering benefits to industry and the environment.
