Issued: Wed, 13 Jun 2012 11:18:00 BST

Postdoctoral research associate Dr Ross Forgan, working with Prof Lee Cronin, has been awarded a Royal Society University Research Fellowship. Royal Society University Research Fellowships are awarded annually to outstanding scientists in the UK at an early to mid-stage of their research career who have the potential to become leaders in their field.  The scheme provides fellows the opportunity to build an independent research career and move to permanent posts in universities at the end of their fellowship.  Ross will take up his fellowship at Glasgow in October 2012 for a minimum of five years.
