Masters/MSc in Media Management

This programme is taught in a dedicated postgraduate teaching and research centre and offers a unique combination of advanced level media and management-related studies with a special focus on media economics and on media and cultural policy.  Led by Course Director Professor Gillian Doyle, the creator of the first media management programme in the UK and an international expert in media economics, the Masters in Media Management at Glasgow offers a unique combination of advanced level media and management-related studies with a special focus on media economics and on media and cultural policy. Professor Doyle, author of Understanding Media Economics and Media Ownership, and Co-director Professor Raymond Boyle have developed a programme taught by a team of specialist experts in both CCPR and the University of Glasgow’s Business School and Law School.  This innovative one-year course offers an academically rigorous experience and aims to hone the analytical skills and sector-specific knowledge of those interested in management careers in the media sector.

PhD study

‎As a dedicated postgraduate research and teaching centre CCPR has a highly experienced team of postgraduate supervisors in Professors Philip Schlesinger, Raymond Boyle, Gillian Doyle and Dr Melanie Selfe and is home to a thriving cohort of postgraduate research students.  We welcome applications to undertake studies for higher degrees (MPhil or PhD) in the following broad areas of staff interest and specialism:
