Biography
Errolinda graduated from the College of the Bahamas with an Associate of Arts degree in Accounting. She subsequently completed her Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Business Administration from University of Windsor in Ontario, Canada. In 2005, upon successful completion of a Master in International Accounting & Financial Management degree (Distinction) at the University of Glasgow, she was awarded the James Cusator Wards PhD Scholarship for pursuit of further postgraduate studies. Errolinda is also the proud recipient of an Adam Smith Research Foundation Scholarship (from 2006 to present).
Doctorial research
Errolinda's research focuses on exploring issues within the RAPM (Reliance on Accounting Performance Measures) and interpersonal trust literatures. Specifically, she attempts to investigate the perceptions of superior managers within financial organisations, with particular emphasis on levels of trust in subordinate managers and styles of performance evaluation. Propositions include that certain levels of trust and styles of superior evaluation are potentially complementary (substitutive), and are also linked to perceptions of dyadic/interpersonal work relations and managerial behaviour outcomes. Adoption of a middle range thinking approach (Laughlin 2004, 2007) supports this exploratory framework.
