CIER hosts leading academics in International Business for workshop

Members of CIER, visiting scholars, staff and PhD students in Management subject at University of Glasgow had a research gathering to discuss publications and provide feedback on presenters’ papers on 23 October 2012.
Prof Robert “Glenn” Richey, Jr is an Interim Associate Dean of International Business & Associate Professor in Marketing (Morrow Faculty Excellence Fellow) in the University of Alabama. As the Co-Editor of the International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management and an Associate Editor at the Journal of Business Logistics, he gave the presentation on “Publication Strategies for High-Quality Journals”.
Dr Margaret Fletcher, a Lecturer in the Adam Smith Business School and CIER member at the University of Glasgow, with Prof Richey, gave a joint presentation on their paper “Understanding Internationalization Knowledge Needs For Small Firms: Market Entry, Localization And International Enterprise”.
Professor Colin Mason, a Professor of Entrepreneurship in the Adam Smith Business School at University of Glasgow, gave the presentation on his working paper “Making A Living In The Music Industry: The Experience Of Recent Music Graduates”. Dr Haina Zhang, a Lecturer in the Adam Smith Business School and CIER member at the University of Glasgow, invited as a discussant on his paper, provided her comments on Coin’s paper.
At workshop, scholars raised the questions, developed good discussions of these research topics, and provided constructive feedback to the presenters about their work in progress.
