The following research units are part of the Adam Smith Business School, or include members from the School:

- Community for Internationalisation & Enterprise Research (CIER)
- Centre for Public Policy for Regions (CPPR)
- Scottish Institute for Research Economics (SIRE)
- Training & Employment Research Unit (TERU)
The University of Glasgow Adam Smith Business School is also currently hosting the Scottish Centre for Economic Methodology (SCEME), a network of scholars aiming to further debate and research in economic methodology in Scotland and beyond.
