Dr Dickon Copsey is the employability officer for the College of Social Sciences. He works with our postgraduate and undergraduate students to enhance their employability to help them plan for life after university. Dickon also provides valuable resources and information online.

Dr Gayle Pringle Barnes is the International Student Learning Officer for the College of Social Sciences. MBA students have access to a dedicated support officer, Pam Castledine, who plans educational and social activities, and assists with personal development planning and CV development.

Adam Smith Business School students have access to the following libraries on campus.

  • The Adam Smith Library is a dedicated resource designed for students studying Social Sciences disciplines. It holds books, periodicals, and a collection of reference works, including foreign language dictionaries, telephone directories, and a set of bound exam papers for the last ten years all of which are located in the reading area.
  • The main University of Glasgow Library is one of the oldest and largest University libraries in Europe. It holds more than 2.5 million books and journals, as well as providing access to an extensive range of electronic resources including over 30,000 electronic journals.

Moira Sinclair, the Adam Smith Business School's specialist subject librarian, gives introductory and more specialised sessions on library resources.  Students can contact Moira for advice on how to find information for assignments, projects or dissertations.  Moira can help with using databases, finding e-journal articles, reports and information about library services.  Each specialist librarian offers a subject page that contains links to relevant resources.

As a student of the Adam Smith Business School, you will have access to several computer clusters across the campus, including those in the Adam Smith Building, the West Quadrangle of the Gilbert Scott Building, and the University library.

All university teaching facilities and catering outlets provide WiFi access to our students.
