Centre for Economic and Financial Studies
The Centre for Economic and Financial Studies (CEFS) is part of the University of Glasgow Adam Smith Business School. CEFS covers research and postgraduate teaching at the juncture of the fields of Economics and Finance. The Adam Smith Business School has significant expertise in the field of international finance research and is ranked in the top 10% of institutions worldwide while staff member, Professor Ronald MacDonald, is ranked in the top 5% of authors in this area and in economics as a whole. The subject of Economics within the Adam Smith Business School is among the top 25% Economics Departments in the world (RePEc, January 2013). RAE 2008 ranks all research in Economics at Glasgow as being of international quality: 75% is considered to be world-leading and internationally excellent.
