Professor Dimitratos new AIB chair

Pavlos DimitratosProfessor Pavlos Dimitratos, Professorial Research Fellow in Management at the Adam Smith Business School, has been elected Chair of the UK and Ireland (UKI) Chapter of the Academy of International Business (AIB).

In his new role Professor Dimitratos will offer expertise in Research Excellence Framework (REF) consultation processes with the learned societies and provide international business advice. He will also serve as an international business expert leading and coordinating inputs to major journal ranking lists.

Dimitratos will represent the AIB UKI Chapter at AIB worldwide and liaise, collaborate and communicate closely with the European International Business Academy (EIBA) and the British Academy of Management (BAM) Special Interest Group on ‘International Business and International Management’.

He will also provide advice and input into consultation requests from UKI research councils and other major research funding bodies, such as the British Academy.

Professor Dimitratos said: “I am delighted to be the new Chair of the AIB UKI and I look forward to promoting our international business research to users including policy makers and management practitioners.”

AIB UKI is the leading association of scholars and specialists in the field of international business in UKI www.aib-uki.org. It has more than 300 members including scholars from leading UK and Irish academic institutions as well consultants, researchers, government and NGO representatives.

It is the largest Chapter of the worldwide AIB. The AIB publishes the Journal of International Business Studies, a 4-star elite ABS, FT and Dallas list scholarly journal.
