According to the most recent International Student Barometer (ISB) results, the University of Glasgow achieved an overall satisfaction rate of 89%. This is highest of participating Russell Group Institutions and third highest of all Universities that participated in the study. The University also came in first among Russell Group institutions for the overall learning experience. The Russell Group is an elite group of research-led Universities, similar to the United States’ Ivy League.

The Adam Smith Business School received the same overall satisfaction rate. In addition, 89% of Business School students felt that the University experience has lived up to their expectations - the average result for all participants in the ISB is 80%.

The School also achieved better than the ISB global average in the areas of expert lecturers, course content, employability and careers advice.  It received a 100% satisfaction rate for disability support.
Professor Farhad Noorbakhsh, Head of School, said:

"These results are very strong, and reflect the recent investment the School has made in new staff and teaching facilities. The ISB is an important tool that allows our international students to provide feedback directly to the University and the School. While these results are good, we strive for continual improvement so that we can provide the kind of supportive, enriching and satisfying experience that our students should expect."

The International Student Barometer is a confidential research study that draws on feedback from over one million students worldwide, and benchmarks drawn from many of the world’s leading universities. During the summer 2012 survey, 53 universities participated. The ISB enables the University of Glasgow to make informed decisions to improve the whole student experience.
