Issued: Mon, 01 Oct 2012 12:06:00 BST

The School is pleased to announce the return of the ever popular Europe-Japan Dialogue public lecture series, now into its 7th year. This year’s series of four lectures, delivered by distinguished industrialists, politicians and civil servants, is loosely based around the theme of ‘Opportunities in Japan’. The events have been designed to stimulate debate, sign post opportunities and provide a gateway to opportunity.

The Europe-Japan Dialogue public lecture series is organised by the Japan Desk Scotland for the University of Glasgow Adam Smith Business School.

Issues covered in this series include renewable energies, the growing health care market; risk, quality and trust in Japanese business; and developing organisations overseas.

This year's speakers have included Mr Naoki Ito, Minister (Economic), Embassy of Japan in the UK; Mr Vaughan Turner, Managing Director, Terasaki Electric Europe; and Sir Stephen Gomersall, KCMG, Director and Group Chairman of Hitachi Europe.

Unfortunately the final lecture scheduled on Monday, 25th March 2013 with Ms Honami Yatagai, Representative of Kanagawa Prefecture Government will no longer take place.
