Business School North American scholarships

Description: The University of Glasgow Adam Smith Business School have introduced a limited number of scholarships, available to North American candidates applying for certain postgraduate taught programmes (MSc) commencing in September 2013.

A total of 5 scholarships are available across the following programmes:


Eligibility: The criteria for the scholarships are academic excellence and personal achievement. Applicants will be evaluated on the basis of their application for admission.

Value: £5000

How to apply: All applicants to these postgraduate programmes who meet the eligibility criteria and who have received an offer of a place before 26 April 2013 will be considered.

Computing Science International Academic Excellence part Scholarships 

Description: The School of Computing Science is pleased to offer 5 CS International Academic Excellence part scholarship for the following postgraduate Masters programmes in commencing September 2013:

Eligibility: All international applicants who have an unconditional offer will automatically be considered.

Value: £2000 in the form of a fee discount

Deadline: Students with an unconditional offer prior to March 15 will be considered in the April round. Students with an unconditional offer prior to June 30 will be considered will be considered in the July round.

Geographical & Earth Sciences: International Academic Excellence Awards

Description: The School of Geographical & Earth Sciences is pleased to offer 6 International Academic Excellence Awards for their postgraduate Masters programmes in Geomatics and Water Science commencing September 2013.

 Eligibility: The awards are open to International (non-EU) students, who have accepted a place on one of the following postgraduate programmes (see list below) and will be offered on the basis of academic excellence.

Institute of Neuroscience & Psychology International Scholarship

Description: International applicants from outside the UK/EU will be considered for the Institute of Neuroscience & Psychology International Scholarship.

Value: £2,000

How to apply: Applicants for the Scholarship should apply for the programme using the standard application format. In addition they should email the programme administrator Johanna Green indicating their wish to be considered for the International Scholarship.

Description: The University of Glasgow Adam Smith Business School have introduced a limited number of scholarships, available to University of Glasgow graduates applying for certain postgraduate taught programmes (MSc), and EU (including UK) applicants new to the University, commencing in September 2013.

A total of 10 scholarships are available across the following programmes:

Award: £3,000.00

Eligibility: The criteria for the scholarships are academic excellence and personal achievement. Applicants will be evaluated on the basis of their application for admission.

How to apply: All applicants to these postgraduate programmes who meet the eligibility criteria and who have submitted their application before 26 April 2013 will be considered. No separate application is required.

Sir Fitzroy Maclean Memorial Scholarship

Information: Lasting memorial to the distinguished career of Sir Fitzroy Maclean, diplomat, soldier, politician, traveller and writer. Designed to encourage a desire of adventure and to foster international awareness and understanding.

Value: up to £2500 to be covered by the scholarship in the form of tuition fee discount.

Eligibility: Specifically for students from Bosnia, Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro.

University of Glasgow/Glasgow International College Achievement Award 

Description: The University of Glasgow/Glasgow International College Achievement Award offers 6 x £3000  tuition fee discounts for one year postgraduate taught programmes and for the first year of undergraduate programmes for 2013/14.

Eligibility: This exciting scholarship is only available to current students of Glasgow International College who are applying to go on to study at one of the following Colleges: MVLS*, Social Sciences or Science and Engineering. Candidates must have achieved an overall pass rate of 70% and have a final attendance rate of +90%.

Value: One off £3000 tuition fee discount for one year full-time postgraduate programme or the first year of the undergraduate programme.

UKEAS Glasgow Academic Elite Scholarship

Description: The University of Glasgow will co-operate with the UKEAS educational agent in China to offer 1 scholarship to a suitably qualified Chinese student applying through UKEAS and accepted to a postgraduate taught programme at the University of Glasgow for September 2013 entry.
 
Value: The successful applicant will receive a £2000 scholarship. £1000 will be awarded as a fee discount by the University of Glasgow. £1000 will be awarded directly to the student by UKEAS.
 
Eligibility: Applicants must be self funded, have a permanent home address in mainland China and have an excellent undergraduate degree. Please note, applicants entering courses in the University of Glasgow Business School are not eligible for this scholarship.

University Trust International Leadership Scholarship

Description: The University of Glasgow will award 52 University Trust International Leadership scholarships to international (non-EU) students starting a Masters degree programme in September 2013 in any discipline (clinical programmes are not eligible).

Value: There are 12 scholarships worth £10,000 and 40 scholarships worth £5,000, against tuition fees.

Eligibility: Applicants must achieve the international equivalent of a UK first class honours degree.
