Who we are
PsyRING has extensive experience with working with industry through a 10 year collaboration with Mitsubishi Pharma Corporation (YRING). It is led by three eminent researchers:
Professor Judith Pratt is a systems neuroscientist and psychopharmacologist, and is a renowned expert on neural imaging and behavioural neuroscience.
Professor Brian Morris has extensive experience in neuropharmacology, molecular biology and bioinformatics, with a record of innovation in the application of functional genomic techniques to neuroscience.
Professor Robert Hunter has an international reputation as a clinician and clinical scientist in the field of schizophrenia and psychosis. He has extensive experience in undertaking large-scale clinical trials. Given his existing strategic role within R&D Greater Glasgow and Clyde, he is well placed to ensure that PsyRING is able to utilise clinical and NHS resources in Scotland.
We have international academic profiles and a proven track record in successfully delivering psychiatric research programmes to major Pharma.
PsyRING is based in a suite of dedicated laboratories within the Universities of Glasgow and Strathclyde, and enjoys excellent access to clinical resources.
