UGSC is a research-dedicated sleep laboratory with IP video-monitoring connections, to conduct polysomnographic and psychophysiologic assessment, using a variety of signal processing techniques including power spectral analysis. Equipment is available for home-monitoring sleep studies. Psychiatric neuro-imaging resources including 3T MRI, radiopharmacy, MRS, SPECT, small-bore 7T MRI, and micro-SPECT. Facilities available on site at SIPBR include state-of-the-art neuroimaging including 3 Tesla MRI and SPECT. The University of Glasgow Sleep Centre is a purpose-built, four bedded unit for the study of human sleep using contemporary neurophysiological measurement.
